A car seat gets dirty every single day: crumbs, juice, mud off little boots, the constant rubbing of getting in and out. The cover absorbs all of it — the original upholstery doesn't. Its stretch construction with an elasticated edge follows the exact contour of the Avionaut Max Space, stays firmly in place without shifting or wrinkling, and comes off in seconds for washing. The seat underneath stays untouched.

Does it replace the seat's original upholstery?

No. It's an additional layer that goes over the manufacturer's upholstery. No original part of the seat is removed or modified.

How do you fit it?

It goes straight over the original upholstery, tucking the elasticated edge around the contour of the seat. Nothing needs dismantling, no tools required, and it comes off just as easily for washing. You can see it step by step in the video on this page.

How do you wash it?

Machine wash at a maximum of 30 °C. We recommend air drying and avoiding the tumble dryer, bleach and direct ironing on the fabric, to preserve its stretch and colour.

What is it made of?

Organic knit cotton: soft to the touch, stretchy and breathable, designed to sit against your baby's skin for hours at a time.

Does it work on a seat that's already a few years old?

Yes, and it's one of the most common uses. It completely refreshes the look of a worn seat and stops further deterioration. It's also very common to fit one from day one on a brand-new seat, so it reaches the next sibling in pristine condition.

How often should it be washed?

It depends on use, but having two covers and alternating them is the easiest approach: while one is in the machine, the other is on the seat and the upholstery is never left unprotected.
